How to Use Rootévia

Using Rootévia takes about two minutes: part your hair, place 3–5 drops on the scalp along the partings, massage for one to two minutes, and leave it in — no rinsing. Do that once or twice a day, and that's the entire routine. Everything below is the detail people actually ask about: how many drops, morning versus night, beards, and how long a bottle lasts.

The four steps

1. Part your hair. Make a part where you want the oil to go, then one or two more nearby. The goal is bare scalp the dropper can reach — this oil is for the skin first, the hair second.
2. Place 3–5 drops along the partings. The glass dropper is there so you can count. Drops you can count, not glugs.
3. Massage for one to two minutes. Fingertips, small circles, light pressure, working along the partings so the oil spreads across the scalp instead of pooling in one spot.
4. Leave it in. No rinsing, no waiting, no follow-up product. You're done.

How many drops should you use?

Start with three. If your scalp still feels dry between applications, move up to five. If the hair along your part looks oilier than you'd like by evening, move back down — or shift your application to night.

This is the reason the bottle has a dropper instead of a pour spout: the dose is meant to be adjusted one drop at a time. A counted dose is the difference between oil on the scalp and oil all over your hair. Adjust until you find your number, then stay there.

Morning or night?

Either. The formula is identical at 7 a.m. and 11 p.m. — what changes is your day.

At night

Evening application means the oil sits undisturbed while you sleep, and any extra shine at your part doesn't matter overnight. If you apply once daily, night is the easy default. In the morning

Morning works too — it's a leave-in, so there's nothing to rinse before you head out. If five morning drops leave more shine at your part than you want, use three, or save the fuller dose for the evening.

Twice a day

If your scalp feels dry enough to warrant it, morning and night together is the upper end of the ritual. There's no reason to go beyond that. More drops isn't a better ritual; it's just more oil.

Can you use it on a beard?

Yes. Beard hair is hair, and the skin underneath is skin. A drop or two worked in with your fingertips conditions and softens beard hair the same way it does the hair on your head. There's no added fragrance to sit under your nose all day — the faint warmth is the ginger root oil, nothing else.

How long does a bottle last?

A 30 mL bottle holds roughly 600 drops. At three to five drops once a day, that works out to months of use from a single bottle. The ritual is slow on purpose — a counted dose means the bottle empties at the pace of the habit, not the pace of a heavy hand.

It is not a promise about what day 60 looks like, and we won't dress it up as one. It also matches our return window exactly, which is on purpose.
